Rental Management Software for Items, Agreements and Returns
The RetailMan ERP System Rental module organizes items offered for hire, customer agreements and returns. Rental item records can link to products, variations and business locations, while keeping their own available quantities and rental rates.
Rental items and availability
Define rental items with quantities, location references and hourly, daily, weekly or monthly rates. Available-item views use the rental item availability flag and available quantity, giving staff a record to review before preparing an agreement.
Agreements and customer charges
Create an agreement with the customer, rental dates and item quantities. Agreement lines calculate rental charges from the rate, quantity and duration, and can include a per-unit deposit. The agreement calendar helps teams review scheduled rental periods.
Returns, deposits and payments
Record returns and item condition against the agreement. Payment records distinguish rental payments, deposits and deposit refunds. Damage reports and maintenance records support follow-up when returned items need attention.
How it works
- Create rental item records and configure quantities, rates and deposit details.
- Prepare a customer agreement with the rental period and selected items.
- Record payments and returns, then review the agreement balance and item condition.
Example use case
An equipment hire desk can record the items issued under a customer agreement, retain the deposit payment and inspect condition on return. Rental availability is maintained in the Rental module; product links provide catalog context without implying automatic synchronization with every retail stock process.
